Baby taken to hospital after being found in pit toilet
A baby found in a pit toilet this morning was treated and transported to hospital by ER24 paramedics. Paramedics were contacted by SAPS after they, the police, found the baby in a pit toilet in Elandskop in KwaZulu-Natal. Police met the paramedics on the R617. The baby was assessed. She did not sustain any injuries but was very cold. She was warmed up by the paramedics and transported to hospital. She is fine and being kept under observation. The little baby girl was born early this morning and is 2.9kg. The exact details of the incident prior to the baby being found are unknown however authorities were on scene to investigate.
