Fourteen children injured in collision
Fourteen children, aged 12 to 16, were injured this morning when their transport vehicle collided with a truck on the R555 near Ogies in Witbank. When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene, they found the two vehicles patked on the side of the road. Children from the transport taxi were found were found sitting around on scene. On assessment, paramedics found that fourteen children had sustain injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Fortunately no-one sustained any serious injuries. Paramedics treated the patients for their injuries and thereafter transported them to Cosmos and Witbank Hospital for further treatment. The driver of the truck fortunately did not sustain any injuries. The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
