[ACTONVILLE] Five injured in a house fire

Last night, one adult and four children were injured in a house fire in Actonville, Benoni.

When ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene shortly after 21h00, the patients were found outside the house, and the fire was mostly extinguished. It is understood that bystanders managed to rescue the patients from their home and used hosepipes to try and extinguish the blaze. Upon further assessment, paramedics found two kids who had sustained serious burn wounds, while two other kids and the adult male sustained moderate injuries. The patients were treated at the scene by ER24 and GPG before being transported to hospital for further medical care.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are not known to our paramedics.
