[ALBERTON] – Taxi rollover leaves sixteen injured.

This afternoon, sixteen people were injured when their taxi rolled on the R59 near the Redding Interchange in Alberton.
ER24 and other services arrived at 17h48 to find the taxi in the emergency lane. Several people were seen seated along the roadside.
Medics assessed the patients and found that sixteen people had sustained minor to serious injuries. Fortunately, no fatalities were found.
The patients were treated, and the seriously injured were provided pain-relief medication before being transported to nearby hospitals for urgent care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
