[ATHLONE] – Three-vehicle collision leaves thirty-one injured.

This morning, thirty-one people were injured when two taxis and a light motor vehicle collided on the N2 Jan Smuts in Athlone, Western Cape.
ER24, Metro EMS and Life Healthcare arrived at 07h20 to find two taxis and a light motor vehicle parked on the side of the road. The passengers from the vehicles were found seated on the roadside.
Medics assessed the patients and found that thirty-one people had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found.
The patients were treated and thereafter transported to nearby hospitals for further care. Several others were transported privately to nearby hospitals.
The details surrounding this incident are unknown, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
