[BARRAGE] Boy seriously injured in a boating incident

A 16-year-old boy sustained serious injuries following a boating incident on a river in Barrage this afternoon.

When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene at approximately 15H30, they found the boy lying in the boat. Upon further assessment, paramedics found that the teenager sustained serious injuries. He was stabilised and treated at the scene before being airlifted by medical helicopter to hospital for further medical care.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not known to our paramedics.
