[BEDFORDVIEW] – Pedestrian seriously injured in collision.

This morning, a man in his 40s was seriously injured when he was struck by a light motor vehicle on Van Buuren Road in Bedfordview.
At 09h07, ER24 arrived to find a man lying on the side of the road. The light motor vehicle that had struck the man was parked a short distance away.
Medics assessed the man and found that he had sustained several injuries and was in serious condition.
The man was treated and provided with pain-relief medication before he was transported to Tambo Memorial Provincial Hospital for further care.
The driver of the vehicle, fortunately, escaped injury.
