BEREA – Man left critically in hit-and-run.

A man, believed to be in his 40s, was left critically injured last night in a hit-and-run incident on Joe Slovo Drive in Berea.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 18h26 to find the man lying in the middle of the road.

Paramedics assessed the patient and found that he had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition.

The patient was treated for his injuries and was provided with several advanced life support interventions before he was transported to Charlotte Maxeke Hospital for urgent care.

The vehicle that had struck the man was not found on the scene.

The incident was reported to the local authorities.
