[BLOEMFONTEIN] – Bike and car collide leaving two dead, another injured.

Two people were killed and another injured last night when a motorbike crashed into the side of a light motor vehicle on Walter Sisulu Dive in Bloemfontein.

ER24 paramedics, along with Bloemfontein Fire Services, arrived on the scene at 22h20 to find both the light motor vehicle and motorbike in the middle of the road.

The body of the biker, a man in his 20s, was found lying next to the bike while another body, a man in his 30s, was found lying trapped in the passenger seat of the vehicle. Two other patients, two women, were found walking around the scene.

On assessment, medics found that both the biker and the passenger from the vehicle had sustained numerous injuries and showed no signs of life. Nothing could be done for them and they were declared dead.

The two other women were assessed, one having sustained moderate injuries while the second woman had escaped injury.

The woman was treated for her injury and was thereafter transported her to a nearby hospital for further care.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
