[BLOEMFONTEIN] Man injured in truck collision

A 42-year-old man sustained various fractures when two trucks collided with each other along the N1 south near the N6 off ramp in Bloemfontein.

Shortly before 2pm, paramedics from ER24 and local emergency services, including fire and rescue services, arrived on the scene. Upon assessment they found a large truck that crashed into the back of another truck. A passenger in the truck was found trapped in the cab and fire services had to free him from the wreckage. Once freed, he was stabilised and transported to Pelonomi Hospital for further care. The driver of the truck did not sustain any injuries.

The exact circumstances surrounding the collision is not yet known. Local authorities also attended the scene.
