[BOSKRUIN] – Man killed in structural collapse.

A man was killed this afternoon following a structural collapse at a residence in Boskruin.
ER24, Provincial Ems and Rescue, and other services arrived on the scene at 13h29 to find that part of a roof had fallen on a construction worker. Two men were attempting to free the man from beneath the concrete.
On assessment, medics found that the man had already succumbed to his injuries. Nothing could be done for him, and he was declared dead.
The two other men were assessed and found to have sustained minor to moderate injuries. They were treated and thereafter transported to a nearby hospital for further care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
