[BOSTON] – Bakkie rollover leaves two dead, eight injured.

Two people were killed and eight others injured this morning following a bakkie rollover on the R617 in Boston, KwaZulu Natal.

ER24 paramedics, along with several other services, arrived on the scene at 05h10 to find the bakkie upright on the side of the road. The bodies of a man in his 30s and a 6-year-old boy were found lying near the bakkie. Eight other patients were found walking around on the scene.

On assessment, medics found that the man in his 30s and the 6-year-old boy had sustained numerous, fatal injuries. Nothing could be done for them and they were declared dead.

The eight other patients were assessed and found to have sustained minor to moderate injuries.

The patients were treated and were thereafter transported to nearby hospitals for further care.

The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
