[BOTHASIG] – Car crashes into building leaving two dead.

Two women were killed in the early hours of the morning when the car they were travelling in crashed into a building on Plattekloof Road in Bothasig, Western Cape.

ER24 paramedics, Life Healthcare, Metro Rescue and Western Cape Fire, arrived on the scene shortly after 01h00 to find the vehicle partially inside the collapsed building. Two women were found lying underneath the building rubble.

Western Cape Fire and Metro Rescue managed to extricate the two women from the rubble after some time. After extricated, medics assessed the women and found that they had already succumbed to their numerous injuries. Nothing could be done for them and they were declared dead.

It is believed that two men had been inside the vehicle at the time of the incident but were not found on the scene.

The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
