Five people were left injured following a two-vehicle collision on the corners of the R23 and Airport Road in Brakpan in the early hours of this morning.
When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene shortly before 01h30, they found patients lying scattered over the road and one patient still entrapped in a vehicle. Medics treated the patients and provided the seriously injured patients with advanced life support interventions. One of the patients was airlifted to hospital by medical helicopter.
ER24, and another service at the scene, transported the rest of the patients to the hospital for further medical care.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident is not known to our paramedics, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
