[CARLETONVILLE] – Head-on collision leaves nine injured.

Nine people were left injured this afternoon following a head-on collision between a bakkie and light motor vehicle on FLower Street in Carletonville.
ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene to find the two damaged vehicles in the middle of the road. Several people were found lying around the scene.
Medics assessed the patients and found that a woman in her 60s had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition while the remaining seven patients had sustained moderate injuries.
The patients were treated for their injuries, and the critically injured woman provided with advanced life support interventions before she was airlifted by a private medical helicopter to a nearby hospital. The remaining patients were transported by ambulances to various hospitals.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
