[CARLETONVILLE] – Six-vehicle collision leaves six injured.

Six people were left injured yesterday afternoon following a six-vehicle collision at the R501 and Annan Road intersection in Carletonville.

ER24 paramedics, along with the Carletonville Fire and EMS, arrived on the scene at 15h34 to find five vehicles, including a truck, on the side of the road while one light motor vehicle was found in the road.

On closer inspection, medics found several people walking around on the scene while one patient was found lying trapped inside his vehicle.

Fire services had to use specialised tools to free the patient. Once freed, medics assessed the patients and found that all find that all six patients had sustained minor to serious injuries.

The patients were treated and thereafter transported to nearby hospitals for further care.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
