[CARLETONVILLE] – Two killed, four injured in a multiple-vehicle collision.

Two men were killed and four others injured, including an 11-year-old boy, when a truck and four-light motor vehicles collided at the Kaolin and Annan intersection in Carletonville.
At 16h18, ER24 paramedics and the Provincial Services arrived on the scene. A truck was found on the side of the road with a light motor vehicle partially wedged beneath it. Three other light motor vehicles were found in the middle of the intersection.
Medics assessed the patients and found that the truck driver and the car driver beneath the truck had already succumbed to their numerous injuries. Nothing could be done for them, and they were declared dead. Four other patients, including an 11-year-old boy, were assessed and found to have sustained moderate injuries. The patients were treated and thereafter transported to nearby hospitals for further care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
