[CARLETONVILLE] – Two-vehicle collision leaves five injured.

Five people were left injured this morning, one of them critically, when two light motor vehicles collided at the P111 and Dolomite in Carletonville.
At approximately 06h45 ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find the two light motor vehicles on the side of the road. The Provincial Fire Services had already extricated an entrapped patient from the one light motor vehicle.
Medics assessed the patients and found that one was in a critical condition while the four others had sustained moderate injuries.
The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to nearby hospitals for further care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
