[CELE] – Three hospitalised following poisoning.

A man and two boys have been hospitalised following an alleged poisoning at a residence in Inwabi in the Cele area, KwaZulu Natal.

ER24 paramedics, along with the Life Healthcare paramedics, arrived on the scene at approximately 11h20 to find the local authorities already in attendance.

On closer inspection, medics found a man and two boys lying motionless inside the home.

Local authorities were able to gain access to the home, allowing paramedics to retrieve the patients and bring them to the awaiting ambulances.

Once outside, medics assessed the patients and found that the man and two boys, aged 4 and 8, were in a critical condition.

Medics treated the patients and provided them with advanced life support interventions before they were airlifted by a military medical helicopter to Albert Luthuli Hospital for further care.

The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
