[CENTURION] – Head-on collision leaves three dead, two injured.

Three people have been killed and two others left injured this morning following a head-on collision between two light motor vehicles on the N14 in Centurion.

ER24 paramedics, along with CERT and Provincial Services, arrived on the scene at 09h06 to find the two light motor vehicles on the side of the road. Both vehicles had sustained a large amount of damage in the collision.

On closer inspection, medics found three men and a woman lying inside the one light motor vehicle while a woman was found lying outside the second vehicle.

Medics assessed the patients and found that the two men and a woman from the first vehicle had sustained numerous fatal injuries. Nothing could be done for them and they were declared dead.

A man, from the same vehicle as the deceased, was found in a critical condition while the female driver of the second vehicle was found in a serious condition.

Medics treated the patients and provided them with advanced life support interventions before they were transported to nearby hospitals for further care.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
