[CLUBVIEW] Child hospitalized following a nonfatal drowning

A one-year-old boy was transported to hospital following a drowning incident at a home in Clubview in Pretoria last night.

When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after 18h00, they found another medical service already at the scene busy stabilising the boy. ER24 paramedics assisted on the scene before transporting the boy to hospital under advanced life support interventions for further medical care.

It is understood that the little boy fell into a small pool of water before he was rescued from the water and bystander CPR was performed on him.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident is not known to our paramedics.
