[CRESTA] One killed, three injured in collision

A man was killed and three other people sustained minor injuries in a collision along Weltevreden Road near Cresta, west of Johannesburg, this afternoon.

Shortly before 4pm, paramedics from ER24 and other services arrived on the scene where they found a bakkie that overturned. Sadly, the driver of the bakkie sustained fatal injuries. There was nothing that could be done for him and he was declared dead on the scene.

Three people from the light motor vehicle sustained minor injuries. They were assessed and treated on the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital for further care.

The exact circumstances surrounding the collision is not yet known. Local authorities attended the scene.
