[DANIËLSKUIL] Two killed, multiple injured in collision

Two people were killed, and fifteen others were injured following a collision between a taxi and a light motor vehicle on the R31 outside Daniëlskuil in the Northern Cape last night.

When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene shortly before 20H00, they found the taxi in the field and the light motor vehicle lying on its roof on the road. Upon further inspection, two people were found to have sustained fatal injuries and were declared dead at the scene. Fifteen others were found to have sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious.

ER24, as well as various other medical services at the scene, treated the patients before transporting them to hospital for further medical care.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not known to our paramedics, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
