[DELFT SOUTH] – Vehicle crashes into tree leaving driver critical.

A 55-year-old man was left critically injured last night when his vehicle left the R300 north and rolled into a tree in Delft South, Western Cape.

ER24 paramedics, Life Healthcare and Metro Rescue arrived on the scene after 23h57 to find the wrecked light motor vehicle on the side of the road near a tree. A 55-year-old man was found lying inside the vehicle.

Medics carefully extricated the man, assessed him and found that he had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition.

The man was treated for his injuries and provided with pain-relief medication before he was transported to Tygerburg Provincial Hospital for further care.

The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
