[DINAWENG] – Several transported to hospital following severe storms.

Several people were transported to hospital yesterday following severe storms in Dinaweg in the Free State.

ER24 paramedics, along with the Free State EMS and Fire Services, arrived at the settlement shortly after 19h00.

On scene, medics found that several homes and informal shacks had been destroyed due to the heavy rains and winds.

Free State EMS and ER24 medics assessed the patients and found that six people had sustained minor to moderate injuries.

The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to nearby hospitals for urgent care.
