[DUNOON] – Bus and bakkie collide, leaving at least two dead, thirty injured.

This morning, at least two men were killed and approximately thirty others injured when a bus and a bakkie collided on the N7 Visserhok in Dunoon, Western Cape.
ER24, Life Healthcare, Metro EMS and Rescue, Western Cape Fire and other Services arrived at 06h00 to find a bus in the road with a bakkie smashed partially beneath the bus. Numerous people from the bus were seen walking around the scene.
On closer inspection, medics found at least two men lying trapped inside the bakkie. Unfortunately, the men had already succumbed to their numerous injuries.
At least thirty other patients were tended to on the scene. Assessments showed that their injuries ranged from minor to moderate.
The patients were treated and thereafter transported to nearby hospitals for urgent care.
The Rescue Services were on the scene to remove the trapped patients from the bakkie.
The details surrounding this incident are unknown, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
