[EASTWOOD] – Body of man found on embankment.

The body of a man, believed to be 31-years-old, was found lying on an embankment behind a factory on Ross Road in Eastwood, Pietermaritzburg.

ER24 paramedics, along with the SAPS Search and Rescue, arrived on the scene at 09h14 and were led through the property to the embankment where the man was found.

On assessment, medics found that the man had already succumbed to his numerous stab wounds. Nothing could be done for him and he was declared dead.

ER24 medics assisted the SAPS in retrieving the body and returning him to the top of the embankment.

The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
