[EMMARENTIA] Two killed, two seriously injured in head-on

Two adult males have died in a head-on collision between a light motor vehicle and a taxi on Barry Hertzog Avenue, Emmarentia, last night. Two other adult males suffered serious to critical injuries in the incident.

ER24 paramedics arrived at 22:30 to find the two men in the light motor vehicle having suffered multiple fatal injuries and the two other men lying each side of the taxi, having been ejected on impact. Nothing could be done for the two in the light motor vehicle and they were declared dead on arrival. Advanced Life Support interventions were required to stabilise the other two patients on scene, who had also suffered multiple injuries. ER24 treated and transported the critical patient to Helen Joseph and another private service on scene treated and transported the seriously injured patient to Joburg General for further care.

The Johannesburg Metro Police Department were on scene for further investigations.
