[EPPING] – Two injured in a multiple-vehicle collision.

This morning, two people were injured following a multiple vehicle collision on Jakes Gerwel Drive in Epping, Western Cape.
ER24, Western Cape Fire and Metro Services responded to the scene at 06h45 after receiving reports of a mass casualty incident.
On arrival, medics found that a bus, truck and light motor vehicle had collided and were now parked in the middle of the road. Several people were found on the sidewalk while a man and woman were found seated inside the car.
Medics assessed patients and found that the two from the car had sustained minor to moderate injuries. The passengers from the bus and the truck driver had luckily escaped injury.
Medics treated the patients and thereafter transported them to a nearby hospital for further care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
