[ERMELO] Driver killed in collision

A 25-year-old man sustained fatal injuries in a collision between a truck and a vehicle on the R36 Breyten road in Ermelo this afternoon.

When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene shortly before 15h00, they found a vehicle off the roadway with the driver still inside. Unfortunately, the man showed no signs of life and he was declared dead at the scene by paramedics.

The driver of the truck sustained no injuries.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not known to our paramedics, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
