[EVERTON] Twelve injured in a single-vehicle rollover

Twelve people were left injured following a single-vehicle rollover on the R28 Poortjie road near Everton in Gauteng this afternoon.

When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene shortly before 15h00, they found a minibus lying on its side off the roadway in a field. Upon further assessment, paramedics found numerous patients lying outside and around the minibus.

Eleven people were found to have sustained minor to moderate injuries while one patient had sustained serious injuries.

The serious patient had to be airlifted by medical helicopter to hospital for further medical care.

ER24, as well as various other medical services at the scene, treated the patients at the scene before transporting them to hospital for further medical care.

The exact circumstances surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
