FLORACLIFFE – Man killed in vehicle collision

A man in his 60s has died after his SUV collided with the rear-end of a taxi on the N1 South before the Gordon Road offramp in Floracliffe, Gauteng, this evening.

ER24 paramedics were on the scene at 17:00 along with other services to find that bystanders had already extracted the man from his vehicle. Advanced Life Support interventions were initiated in an attempt to resuscitate the patient, however, his injuries were too severe and he unfortunately passed away.

The driver of the taxi was found to have suffered minor injuries and declined transport to hospital for further treatment. The taxi had no passengers at the time.

The Fire Department and JMPD were also on scene for investigations.
