[FOCHVILLE] One killed, two injured in collision

A woman sustained fatal injuries and two children sustained moderate injuries following a collision between the vehicle they were travelling in and a truck on the N12 and Bank road turnoff in Fochville this morning.

When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene shortly before 05h30, they found two children walking around at the scene and a female driver still entrapped in the vehicle. Unfortunately, the driver had sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene by paramedics.

The two children, believed to be between the ages of 12 and 15, were found to have sustained moderate injuries. ER24 paramedics treated them at the scene before transporting them to hospital for further medical care.

The truck driver was uninjured.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not known to our paramedics.
