[FOURWAYS] – Man knocked off bicycle, left critically injured.

A man, believed to be in his 20s, was left critically injured this afternoon when he was knocked off his bicycle by an SUV at the Witkoppen and Kingfisher Road Intersection in Fourways.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 12h08 to find the man and his bicycle lying in the middle of the road. The SUV and already pulled off to the side of the road.

Medics assessed the man and found that he had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition.

The man was treated and provided with advanced life support interventions before he was transported to Helen Joseph Provincial Hospital for urgent care.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
