[FREEDOM SQUARE] Man killed after being knocked down by truck

A male cyclist has been killed after he was knocked down by a truck on the Dewetsdorp road in Freedom Square, Bloemfontein this afternoon.

When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after 17h00, they found the man lying on the side of the road a short distance from his bicycle. Unfortunately, the man was showing no signs of life and he was declared dead by paramedics at the scene.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are not known to our paramedics, but police were on the scene for further investigations.
