[GEORGE] – Multiple-vehicle collision leaves several injured.

Several people were left injured this morning following a multiple-vehicle collision on the N2 outside of George in the Western Cape.

ER24 paramedics, along with several other services, arrived on the scene at 10h15 and found several vehicles parked along the road.

Medics assessed the patients and found that several had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found.

The patients were treated and scene and thereafter three were transported to nearby hospitals for further care. The remaining patients declined further treatment and transportation to hospitals.

It is believed that a sandstorm played a contributing factor to the cause of the collision.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
