[GOEDEWILL] Hang glider escapes serious injury following crash

A male hang glider, believed to be 39-years-old, sustained moderate injuries in a crash near Goedewill turn off close to eNtokozweni in Mpumalanga yesterday afternoon.

ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene at approximately 18h00 after fellow hang gliders led them to where the man was. The provincial EMS was also at the scene. Upon further assessment, it was found that the man had sustained moderate injuries. It is understood that shortly after taking off, the wind threw him back towards the ground. He fell about 3 meters to the ground.

The man was treated at the scene before he was transported to hospital for further medical care.
