[HEROLDS BAY] – Two hospitalised following near-drowning.

Two men in their 20s were hospitalised this morning following a near-drowning incident in Herolds Bay, George.
ER24 paramedics, along with Metro Rescue, arrived on the scene at 09h15 to find two men lying on the beach. Several people were found offering aid to the men.
Medics assessed the men and found that they had sustained numerous soft tissue injuries.
The men were treated and thereafter transported to George Provincial Hospital for further care.
It is understood that the two men had been fishing on the rocks when they were swept into the sea by a rogue wave. The men were bashed against the rocks numerous times before they were able to swim to the beach.
