[HILTON] Elderly couple attacked in alleged home invasion

An elderly couple in their 80s was left injured following an alleged home invasion in Hilton in Pietermaritzburg yesterday afternoon.

When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene shortly before 13h00, they found the police already in attendance and a family member providing first aid to the couple. Upon further assessment, it was found that the man sustained moderate injuries and the woman sustained minor injuries.

ER24 treated them on the scene before transporting them to hospital for further medical care.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not known to our paramedics, but police were on the scene for further investigations.
