[IRENE] – Machine falls off a forklift, injuring man.

A 48-year-old man was injured this morning when a large machine fell off a forklift onto his leg at a company in Irene.
ER24 arrived at 10h46 to find a man lying next to a large machine. The man had already had his leg pulled from beneath the machine by his colleagues.
Medics assessed the man and found that he had sustained a serious injury to his leg.
The man was treated and provided with pain-relief medication before being transported to a private hospital for further care.
