[KATLEHONG] Five injured in a two-vehicle collision
One person sustained serious injuries and four others sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate following a collision between a bakkie and a light motor vehicle on the corners of Kliprivier drive and Rivett-Carnett street in Katlehong last night.
ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after 21h00 to find another medical service already at the scene treating one of the patients. Upon further assessment, paramedics found that the patient had sustained serious injuries. The patient was treated with advanced life support interventions at the scene before being airlifted with a medical helicopter to hospital for further medical care.
Four people were found to have sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. They were assessed and treated at the scene. ER24 transported one of the patients to hospital for further medical care.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident is not known to our paramedics, but local authorities were on the scene.
