KLERKSDORP – Baby boy found wrapped in a blanket.

A baby boy, believed to be 3-weeks-old, was found this morning wrapped in a blanket on the N12 near the Joe Slovo Road in Klerksdorp.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 04h30 to find the local authorities already in attendance. A baby boy, believed to be 3-weeks-old was found wrapped in a blanket on the side of the road.

Medics immediately assessed the child and found that he showed no visible injuries but was suffering from mild hypothermia.

The child was warmed and immediately transported to Klerksdorp Provincial Hospital for further care.
