[KLERKSDORP] Twelve injured in taxi/bakkie collision

Twelve people were injured in a collision between a bakkie and a taxi on Ingle Avenue, Klerksdorp this morning. It is understood that the bakkie collided with the rear end of the taxi.

ER24 paramedics were on the scene at 07:00 this morning to find that most of the passengers had self-extricated. Eleven adults from the taxi and one, 26-year-old male from the bakkie were found on-scene. One male patient believed to be in his 30s was found to have suffered moderate injuries and was fully immobilised before being transported to the hospital for further care. The remaining patients had all suffered minor injuries. Eight patients were treated and transported by ER24 to hospitals in the area for further care, while the remaining four were treated and transported by another private service in attendance.

The South African Police Services were also on the scene for further investigations.
