[KLIPDRIFT] – Truck and car collide leaving two injured.

Two men were left injured this evening, one of them seriously, when a truck and light motor vehicle collided on the N12 in Klipdrift, Fochville.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find a wrecked light motor vehicle situated on the side of the road. A truck was found lying on its side partially off the road. The load of sunflower seeds that had been on the back of the truck was now spread across the scene.

Medics assessed the patients and found that the driver of the light motor vehicle, a man in his 30s, was in a serious condition while the driver of the truck, a man in his 60s, had escaped with minor injuries.

Medics treated the men and provided the seriously injured man with pain-relief medication before they were transported to nearby hospitals for further care.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
