[KRUGERSDORP] – Man left critical in collision.

A 21-year-old man was left critically injured last night following a collision between a truck and a bakkie at the Luipaard and Mooncraft intersection in Krugersdorp.
ER24 paramedics, along with the Krugersdorp Fire Services, arrived on the scene and found the wrecked bakkie in the middle of the road. The 21-year-old male driver was found lying trapped in the vehicle in a critical condition.
Fire Services had to used specialised equipment to free the man from the bakkie. Once freed, paramedics treated the man and provided him with advanced life support interventions before he was airlifted to a private hospital by a medical helicopter.
The driver of the truck was treated for his minor injuries and transported to a nearby hospital.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
