[LADYSMITH] – Taxi and car collide, leaving sixteen children injured.

Yesterday afternoon, sixteen children were injured when the taxi they travelled in collided with a light motor vehicle at the Delhi and Kandahar Intersection in Ladysmith.
ER24 and other services arrived on the scene at 14h26 to find a taxi lying on its side on the road while a light motor vehicle had stopped a short distance away. Several children were seated along the roadside.
Medics assessed the patients and found that the taxi driver had minor injuries while sixteen children aged between 6 and 10 had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate.
The patients were treated and later transported to nearby hospitals for further care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
