[LADYSMITH] – Truck rear-ends car leaving four injured.

A man, woman and two girls were injured yesterday morning when their light motor vehicle was rear-ended by a truck on the N11 Newcastle Road in Ladysmith.

ER24 paramedics, along with another service, arrived on the scene to find the light motor vehicle and the truck on the side of the road. A man, woman and two young girls were seated on the ARMCO barrier on the side of the road.

Medics assessed the family and found that all four had sustained minor to moderate injuries.

The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to nearby hospitals for further care.

The driver of the truck fortunately escaped injury.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
