[MACHADODORP] – Four injured in collision.

For people were left injured this afternoon following a two-vehicle collision on the N4 highway, approximately 10km outside of Machadodorp.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find the two light motor vehicles on the side of the road.

Medics assessed the patients and found that an elderly man and woman had sustained numerous injuries and were in a serious condition while two other woman had sustained minor to moderate injuries.

The patients were treated for their injuries and the seriously injured provided with pain-relief medication before they were transported to nearby hospitals for further care.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
