[MAITLAND] Man seriously injured in vehicle knock-down

A 34-year old man sustained serious injuries after he was knocked down by a vehicle on Ferndale road in Maitland this afternoon.

ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene shortly before 17h30, and found the man seated on the side of the road. Upon further assessment, paramedics found that he sustained serious injuries to his leg.

ER24 and Life Healthcare treated the man at the scene before transporting him to New Somerset Hospital for further medical care.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not known to our paramedics but local authorities were on the scene.
