[MARAISBURG] – Car crashes into truck leaving two injured.

A man and woman, both in their 30s, were left injured this morning when their vehicle crashed into a truck on the N1 northbound highway in Maraisburg.
ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene at 06h45, finding the truck parked on the side of the highway. The light motor vehicle was found partially crushed beneath the trailer of the truck.
Medics assessed the two patients and found that they had sustained several injuries, leaving them in a serious condition.
The patients were treated, provided with pain-relief medication and thereafter transported to Helen Joseph Provincial Hospital for further care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
